Dr. Douglas Pacaccio, DPMand Dr. Jennifer Pacaccio, DPM:
Drs. Douglas and Jennifer Pacaccio, are natives of Illinois. After finishing their surgical residency training out East, they returned to the Midwest.
They are both licensed podiatrists who are University trained and qualified to perform both Foot AND Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. They are on staff at several local hospitals and surgical centers.
Each Spring, they travel to Africa with Physicians for Peace, and they serve as board members for Limb Rescue International. Their surgical mission work focuses on bringing education and training for treatment of severe limb threatening deformity and disease to third world countries and to provide reproducible and sustainable healthcare.
They are both published authors in several medical journals and guest lecture to physicians, surgical residents, medical students, and the local community.
They live in Sycamore and in their spare time enjoy traveling, cooking and fishing.
Dr. Douglas Pacaccio, DPM:
Dr. Douglas Pacaccio received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then completed 3 years of Surgical Residency training at INOVA Fairfax Hospital a level 1 trauma center in Falls Church, Virginia. During this time he served as the Chief Resident of the Plastic Surgery Limb Salvage Team at the prestigious Georgetown University Hospital. He specializes in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, diabetic charcot reconstruction, external fixation, peripheral nerve disorders, arthroscopy, orthopedic traumatology, and limb salvage. Dr. Pacaccio is on the board of directors and a founding member of MedShape Solutions, Inc. an Atlanta based medical device company. He is named on several orthopedic device patents.
Dr. Jennifer Pacaccio (formerly Dr. Jennifer Suess):
Dr. Jennifer Pacaccio received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed a 3 year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. During residency she completed an Orthopedic Trauma Rotation at INOVA and served as the Chief Resident of the Plastic Surgery Limb Salvage Team at the prestigious Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Jennifer Pacaccio specializes in Pediatric Foot and Ankle Pathology, Diabetic Limb Salvage, Foot and Ankle Trauma, External Fixation and Elective Foot and Ankle Surgery. She stays active in her profession by guest lecturing, authoring articles in medical journals, and participates in the American Podiatric Medical Association as a committee member.
